The Shoreline Publishing Group acts as a book
producer and editorial services company for leading national
publishers. Shoreline handles all aspects of book production,
including concept development, editorial services, photo and
art research and assignment, design, production, and printing.
The company focuses on producing nonfiction books and book
series for adults and young people, with particular expertise
in sports books. Shoreline works with national trade publishers
as well as school and library publishers; for the latter,
the company works with educational consultants to ensure its
products are of the highest quality and meet national standards.
Shoreline has experience in juvenile series, publishing, and
in working with licensed characters and sports organizations.
The company also works with magazine publishers to produce
special sections or special issues. Shoreline founder and
editorial director Jim Buckley has written more than 35 books
on sports for adults and young readers; he formerly worked
for Sports Illustrated and NFL Publishing. The company
is very interested in working with other book producers on
projects of mutual interest.
