Ardent
Media ,
Inc.
Since 1975, Ardent Media has copublished more
than eighty titles (with sales of more than two million copies)
with such publishers as John Wiley & Sons, Rodale, Macmillan,
Prometheus, Pilgrim, Paragon, Samuel French, Free Press, New
Horizon, and BMJ Books. It copublishes popular trade, professional,
and reference titles, as well as audio and video, and usually
delivers bound books. Ardent specializes in the behavioral
and health sciences, including sexual health and mind-body
approaches to healing. Ardent is seeking partners to copublish
some of its reference titles online and on CD-ROM. For the
past few years, Ardent has published its own titles and distributed
them through the major wholesalers. It is now going back to
its roots as a book producer and will copublish or package
the majority of its new titles. It will continue to emphasize
self-help books in psychology and health, along with business
reference titles. Books nearing completion now include such
topics as secrets of solo sex, stress in the workplace, sexual
health, and the world of human sexuality. Ardent also packages
and produces bound books and media for businesses and nonprofit
organizations.
